About Patricia Barron

Patricia Barron is a Licensed Acupuncturist in NJ, NY and PA.

Patricia has studied forms of martial arts including Hung Ga kung fu and various forms of QiGong(energy exercises) and bodywork since 2001 and Yang Style Tai Chi since 2004. She became involved with Traditional Chinese Medicine by receiving treatments and taking courses in Tuina Chinese Massage by her teacher, Sifu Pedro Yee, which led her to the interest of Acupuncture. She graduated from the Eastern School of Acupuncture and Traditional Medicine, NJ in 2008 after completing an externship, for additional training in Acupuncture, at the Veterans Hospital servicing war veterans.

Patricia has a degree in Psychology from Rutgers University, NJ and has 20 years experience as a Social Worker. For several years, she studied the Five Animal Frolics QiGong system with Master Walter Fricke at the ESATM achieving the level of QiGong instructor. Private or group lessons in the Five Animal Frolics Qigong are available.

Currently she is a Faculty member teaching at the Eastern School of Acupuncture and Traditional Medicine. She attends continuing education courses frequently to enhance her skills and knowledge of Traditional Chinese Medicine. She specializes in Cosmetic Acupuncture for Facial Rejuvenation. Patricia thoroughly enjoys her work and offers a comprehensive and unique service combining the practical bodywork skills and energy work of the Acupuncture with the sensitivity, compassion and insight of a social worker.

Her philosophy of Acupuncture is that the needles act like “little antennae” attracting to the patient the healing and balancing energy that is needed for each treatment to enhance the body/mind connection. By attending a full course of treatment, the patient allows many possibilities to open up for positive change because they are allowing the time and space for healing to occur.
