Also called nuad no rarn, Thai massage has been taught and practiced in Thailand for approximately 2,500 years. Although the origins are somewhat vague, credit for Thai massage is given to a famous Indian doctor, Shivago Komparpaj, who was the personal physician of the Buddha and Madadha king. With the exception of the feet Thai Massage is performed fully clothed, and may be performed on a firm mat on the floor or on a massage table.
